Norwegian Business Awards
Norwegian Business Awards (NBA) is brought to life by Norwegian-Estonian Chamber of Commerce to bring out and acknowledge the Estonian companies that have succeeded in innovating or growing their business, especially in cooperation with Norway.
Excellence in Innovation Award recognises an Estonian established company that, through innovation, has challenged the conventional thinking on their market or industry, and seen positive commercial outcome as a result. The innovation could, for example, be in product design/development, manufacturing process, working practice, distribution logic or customer service.
Excellence in Growth Award will be given to an Estonian business that shows excellence in extensive growth and evidence of a sustained annual growth of 10 % or more during the last 3 years. Growth driven by increased export activities will be seen as an advantage, especially if it can be linked to bilateral trade between Estonia and Norway.

Seve Ehituse AS belongs to the first generation of companies that was created just after the restoration of independence. As the company grew up alongside the new Republic of Estonia, they also went through all possible growing pains together. Seve has produced and built more than 1000 houses in Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Switzerland. Seve has built the Estonia’s first plus-energy house – a pre-fabricated house “Ave”. The house produces 1 kWh/m2 more power per year than it consumes, i.e. the annual heating and electric bill is smaller than the annual power production per year.

Norway and Estonia have developed a strong economic relationship over the last 27 years, and Norway is an important source of foreign investments in Estonia. Norwegian companies are involved in a broad range of business activities in Estonia, and the potential for new partnerships is great, in particular, related to ICT, innovation and green growth.
NECC is a key meeting place for Norwegian-Estonian business interests. NECC is also an important partner in the Embassy’s efforts to stimulate trade and commercial relationships between Norway and Estonia.
I recommend companies with an interest in trade and economic relations between Norway and Estonia to join NECC and take part in their activities.
